2011 'Round Island Race Documents
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING START SEQUENCE
The 55th Annual Fishers Island "Round the Island Race will follow Rule 26 for the starting sequence. The order of starts and class flags are indicated on the Scratch Sheet. However, this year it is the Race Committee's intent to start classes with 5 minute rolling starts. The first Warning is scheduled for 1000. The first Start scheduled for 1005. This means your start time may be earlier than you are accustomed to in the past. Under Rule 26, the Race Committee reserves the right to stop the starting sequence at any time and then resume with proper signaling. Again, the Race Committee will not be using 10 minute starting intervals. However, there may be a delay between some starts to insure the starting area is clear for the following class.
Please listen to Channel 01A for all Race Committee communications and pay attention to the signal flags on the Race Committee boat.
